Annual Cultural/Educational Trip
Since 1992, each year COMPACT students compete in
a rigorous yearlong contest that emphasizes good grades, attendance
and behavior; verbal and written communication skills; and community
service. Approximately 20 winners receive a week-long trip to Washington,
D.C. The students learn how our government works, visit historical
sites and museums, meet with high-ranking officials and have a grand
time.
The highlight of each trip has been a two hour dialogue with Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
